03.26.23 "I'm Tired of the Ego World – Aren't You?"

I was recently gladded to hear some uplifting reports of healing through the CMC Healing Team's work. “WooHoo!!” From the ego’s point of view we just skip from disaster, to sickness, to impending doom, to chronic illness, to war – and then finally to death. That view stinks – literally. It could be replaced by a reflection of Heaven, but all too often we choose the familiar stink of the fetid world. This IS what ACIM actually tells us, "Here [Heaven’s] peace can come and perfect healing take the place of death. The body can become a sign of life, a promise of redemption, and a breath of immortality to those grown sick of breathing in the fetid scent of death." (OrEd.Tx.27.11) "Fetid" means it stinks, BADLY. The world of the ego stinks badly with the smell of death. Anyone remember the great Lynyrd Skynyrd song from 1977 "That Smell”? "Ooh, that smell - Can’t you smell that smell? - Ooh, that smell - The smell of death surrounds you.” Who would have thought that Lynyrd Skynyrd was channeling Jesus?!?! "HaHaHaHa" I'm definitely sick and tired of the fetid ego world. Aren't you? I am happy to be devoting time every day to healing.
