Drobo Files For Bankruptcy Protection Is Your Data Protected

This week Drobo filed for bankruptcy protection to keep the creditors at bay. If you're a Drobo customer is your data still protected once Drobo is out of business? If so, for how long?

For that matter, how about QNAP, Synology, OWC, Buffalo, IBM, Dell, Western Digital, and countless other NAS and standalone data backup appliance companies?

If the company goes out of business, how long is your data safe on those RAID array systems?
