Should You Buy the MoKo Overalls Nintendo Switch Carry Case
In this video, we unbox and check out the MoKo Overalls Carry Case designed to transport and protect your Nintendo Switch.
One of the cool things about what I do is I get to speak with a lot of different people who make parts, accessories, consoles, or other cool things that make what I enjoy even better. The folks over at MoKo reached out to me and asked if I'd like to check out some of the options they offer for the Nintendo Switch and Switch Lite. Checking out their Amazon Store, the first thing I saw and had to check out was what you see here, their Super Mario "Overalls" case for the Nintendo Switch.
The case itself is actually offered in 2 different colors, red & blue as seen here to represent Mario, but there's also a green & blue one if you prefer Luigi. Both cases, beyond color, are identical. They feature dual zippers to keep the case shut, and also 2 button snaps to form the "overalls" look. Inside the case, two elastic straps hold your Switch securely while being transported. The top of the case has a section where you can store up to 10 games securely, plus a spot with netting to hold accessories such as earphones and the like. You can't fit an AC adapter in here, but the CharJenPro Stingray fits without a problem.
I would describe the outside of the case as hard-ish. If you happen to have it bouncing around in a backpack, for example, it will protect your Switch and it will survive quite nicely. It won't, however, protect your Switch from things like being tossed off a bridge. Why would anyone do that? Ask RGT85 after watching this video:

While designed for the original Switch, I did decide to see how the Switch Lite fit. I knew it would fit, being smaller and all, but I wanted to see how the elastic straps fell in relation to the rest of the system. I'm pleased to say that the Switch Lite is held in-place quite nicely, but there is room for it to slide around inside. While probably not my first choice, if you had a Switch Lite you technically could use this case with that system.
Why it RoX:
- The aesthetics are awesome
- Under $20
- Storage for your games and accessories
- Works with Switch and Switch Lite
- Zippers seem quality
- Overall "Snaps" provide another level to make sure your system stays put
What could be improved?
- MoKo brand name isn't well known (yet)
- No room for AC Adapter to fit
- Has a bit of a plasticy-feel
- It would be nice if there was a handle or hand grip on the spine
- The aesthetics are the major separator between this and other cases
- Won't protect RGT85's Switch or find his keys if he tosses it off a bridge
Should you buy one?
Like I said in the video, I am a sucker for anything Super Mario, and this case just nails the look and feel for me. While I don't travel with my Switch like I had in the past, this is a great way to transport your Switch with some flair. The games are held securely, the zippers felt good, and the snaps helped to keep the case securely closed. For under $20, there's a lot to like about this case. Thanks to MoKo for sending us one for review, stay tuned as there are more MoKo reviews coming.
