I felt weak
I thought I was better
I couldn’t talk
And my words were a blur and infected

I got my freedom, I got let out
The only thing wrong was my inability to shout
My legs were like jelly
I couldn’t focus on the telly
And tears rolled every time I tried
Cos I couldn’t help, but rain and cry

Fight or Flight!
The needle had already effected
My mind was there
But it had already been Injected.

I couldn’t take this anymore
And my body couldn’t sleep and store
Recovery is a journey
My Mental Health was all blurry

I just wanted to feel myself
And not be on the shelf
Was there any hope?
Was there a light?
