Even Canada Has Become Too Violent

Maxime Bernier, leader of the People's Party of Canada, recently tweeted a video in which he passionately pleaded for an end to the violence that has been plaguing Canada. The video was sparked by a disturbing incident that was caught on camera, in which a man was stabbed in broad daylight outside a Starbucks in Vancouver. What was most troubling to Bernier was not the violence itself, but the fact that nobody intervened to help the victim.

In the video, Bernier expressed his concern about the decline of moral values and social cohesion in Canadian society, and attributed this to what he called "Trudeau's post-national state". He argued that Canada needs to restore the strong moral values that made it great in the first place, and that if nothing is done, incidents like this will only become more common.
