Cautionary Tale: Hidden Razor Blade Found in Shopping Cart at Walmart

An Ohio couple, Cheryl Johnson and her husband Mel, encountered a shocking discovery during a trip to their local Walmart in Windsor, Connecticut. As Mel pulled a shopping cart toward him, he found a razor blade protruding from underneath the handle, causing him pain. The couple quickly reported the situation to the store manager and the police, prompting an inspection of all carts in the store for additional razors. Fortunately, no other razors were found. The police believe the razor could have been placed there as a prank or by shoplifters intending to cut security tags.

This incident, unfortunately, is not isolated, with a similar situation occurring in 2015 in Dawson, North Dakota. Cheryl and Mel are grateful that the razor blade didn't cause more severe harm, especially considering that children often push shopping carts and the potential danger of a rusted blade.
