WHATS UP PODCAST LISTENERS!!! On today's episode I take you back to 2022 when republicans put forth a bill that provided real solutions to the increasing school shootings around the country and democrats rejected the bill. In 2022 republican senators ted Cruz and John Barrasso introduced legislation to protect kids by doubling the number of school resource officers and hiring thousands of mental health counselors in schools, also giving billions of dollars from leftover money from the American Rescue plan for fortifying schools and every single democrat voted against it. Ted Cruz tried again for a third time in September of 2022 with a unanimous consent and because one democrat senator (senator Murphy from CN) objected and then walked out of the senate building without giving any reason as to his objection, the bill failed right then and there. 1 year later another shooting happened in Nashville TN leaving 3 innocent children and 3 innocent adults dead. Democrats say they want republicans to do something about this school shooting problem but when republicans put something forward if it doesn't include confiscating everyone's guns democrats will object. So tune in to today's episode to hear my opinion on why we should stop negotiating with democrats when it comes to fixing this school shooting issue and why republicans need to just put something forward and let the democrats object to it in front of the entire country. letting the democrats determine gun reform is like the train conductor telling the pilot how to fly a plane. Republicans are more likely to come up with effective, reasonable and rational solutions to this problem since republicans are more experienced with guns.
