At what age do boys start talking trash and competing against each other?

Basically when they are born. As is the case with every species, competing for the fairer sex starts almost at birth and until the fairer sex shows any interest in them (teenage years?) they learn to compete by beating up on each other.

It's called (unofficially of course) peacocking.
