Space Patrol - S01E02 - 14th Apr 1963 - The Dark Planet - TV Show - 720p

Second broadcast episode of the puppet/marionette show from 1963, which was called "Planet Patrol" in the US.
Similar to the Gerry Anderson shows, Fireball XL5 and Supercar from around the same time - this show looks dated now, but is still quite fun to watch.

I am uploading in the order that the episodes were broadcast, so this may differ from some later DVD order.

In this episode called "The Dark Planet"..........
Larry Dart and his Galasphere crew have an exciting and and dangerous time when they are sent to bring home one of the mysterious plants of Uranus.

A strangely very un-PC series, that would struggle today - and would offend many that wish to find such offence.
Is much darker in theme in places compared to other similar type shows from the period.
But it is of its time, and refreshing in that respect.
