Hi Garden Friends!
I wanted to give an update on overwintering ranunculus. Can you overwinter ranunculus in Michigan? Well watch my video to find out. Last fall my ranunculus started re-sprouting in my raised garden beds. I was hoping for some fall blooms but the weather turned to winter quickly so I had added some pine mulch and covered them up for the winter with frost cloth, low tunnel. It worked! We had temperatures in the low teens at time and even below zero. The mulch and low tunnel frost cloth kept the soil from freezing.
