Men in women's sports? Perhaps THIS time, it's a GOOD thing!

The story of the big, burly lumberjack dude, who's the new "women's" weightlifting champion in Canada actually inspires hope in me, rather than the usual contempt.

Why?

Because as more and more of these things happen, and more and more men show that they're the best "women" in their respective sports, finally someone will come to their senses and make it so that there are only actual women in women's sports.

Granted, that should have happened long, long ago, but sometimes it takes a critical mass of ludicrous things to tip people over the edge into a mood actually to do something that -- finally! -- makes some sense.
