Jesus raises a girl from the dead.

Luke 8:49-56 tells the story of Jesus raising a young girl from the dead. The girl's father, Jairus, a synagogue leader, had come to Jesus begging him to heal his daughter, but while they were on their way, a messenger arrived to tell Jairus that the girl had died. However, Jesus reassured Jairus by telling him not to be afraid, only believe. Then they went to Jairus' house and went to the girl's bedside, where he took her by the hand and said, "Little girl I say to you, arise!" The girl immediately came back to life, to the amazement of all who were present. This miracle is a powerful demonstration of Jesus' compassion and power over death.
