NEWS ABOUT THE PROJECT 📰
In a dark laboratory, Shadow the Hedgehog emerges from a capsule with mechanical parts. Dr. Robotnik's head is revealed inside a mecha suit and begs for Shadow's help. Shadow refuses, and Robotnik's head is crushed within Shadow's grip. The film fades out to the title card for Sonic the Hedgehog 3. Later, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and the Wachowski family have fun bowling and eating ice cream. Breaking news reports a hit-and-run involving Shadow, and Sonic rushes to find him. Sonic and Shadow engage in a fierce battle until Shadow gains the upper hand.

Sonic, Knuckles, and Tails face off against Shadow the Hedgehog who is on a mission. Along the way, they receive information from Agent Stone about Robotnik's creation, Metal Sonic, designed to kill Sonic. Tails is injured in the fight with Shadow, and Sonic blames Knuckles. Sonic decides to take on Shadow alone, leaving Knuckles and Tails behind. Shadow is then confronted by Metal Sonic, and they engage in a fierce fight.

Sonic the Hedgehog goes missing and his friends Tails and Knuckles search for him. They eventually find him, and Sonic apologizes for not trusting them. Later, Shadow the Hedgehog fights Metal Sonic and Sonic sacrifices himself to save everyone from Metal Sonic's self-destruct mode. Sonic's funeral is held, and a few weeks later, Shadow gives Tails and Knuckles a time stone to help them bring Sonic back from the afterlife. They use it and are transported to a new dimension where they encounter a mysterious figure... Silver the Hedgehog.

Sonic the Hedgehog is a 2020 action-adventure comedy film based on the video game series of the same name published by Sega. Directed by Jeff Fowler (in his feature directorial debut) and written by Pat Casey and Josh Miller, it stars Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic the Hedgehog, alongside Jim Carrey and James Marsden, with supporting roles by Tika Sumpter, Lee Majdoub, Adam Pally, Frank C. Turner, Tom Butler, and Natasha Rothwell. The film follows Sonic (voiced by Schwartz), a blue anthropomorphic hedgehog who can run supersonic speeds.
