20230403 Children Make You Think...About A Life of Integrity

Last year I found a note under my windshield wiper, written by a woman owning up to backing into my grill and providing a contact number and promise to pay for the damages.

A woman living a life of integrity. Doing the right thing when no one's looking. Refusing to carry the emotional/psychological burden.

I once had a shard of glass stuck under my skin, always there, moving around and causing me pain. The only way to stop the recurring pain was to cut out the glass. It hurt in the moment, but the recurring pain is gone.

So it is with emotional burdens.

Own your mistakes. Get them out. Put them in front of you. Fix them.

Then you don't have to carry them forever, randomly causing you pain.
