John Castillo hit the nail on the head during this week’s episode of Unleashed. School violence isn’t always about mental health or gun control. It isn’t always political. So what CAN be done to keep our kids safe?

Transparency from schools regarding safety measures and security (something that is still not happening for the Castillos even 4 years after the death of their son). More ACTION from school boards/administrators, less finger-pointing. Asking the tough questions… like how much $$ is allocated to a security budget.

But most importantly, let’s listen to brave parents like John and Maria who are dedicating their lives to finding answers and solutions for our kids. No matter what side of the political aisle we sit on, can’t we at least just LISTEN?
