Precisely when we make attempts to improve - especially in such an intimate realm as "self-care" - we encounter the reasons we haven't already made these improvements. The fatigue, the frustration, the futility, the emptiness, the weakness, the anxiety, the depression: These are what prevent us from living more across all realms of life, and these limitations become most apparent when we make intentional efforts. If there's no resistance, you're not doing it right.
