Church Shot Interviews, James Kitchen

This was a very informative interview I had with James Kitchen. a staff lawyer with the Justice Center for Constitutional Freedoms. James and I got connected shortly after my meeting with Chad Fisher.

His organization is one of the few legal champions in Canada for religious freedom violations and support.

when the government of Alberta took the unprecedented step in banning religious singing in the province, the JCCF was one of the only place churches could go for support if they choose to violate the order and hold services with singing during COVID-19.

James ran me through some of the legal issues at play and clarified some of my presuppositions with regards to the Charter rights we have and how they can be violated, legally, by the government.
