Pokémon Violet and Scarlet are the first pair of games in Generation IX of the series. They take place in the open-world region of Paldea, which takes inspiration from the Iberian Peninsula, primarily Spain. The first partner Pokémon of the region are: Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly.
