Understanding Narcissism
Understanding Narcissism: the Personality Disorder that can Destroy Your Relationships.
(Beware the narcissists but don't reject them).
An inflated sense of self-importance, a lack of empathy for others, and a continuous desire for admiration and attention are all signs of narcissism, a personality disorder.
People who have narcissistic inclinations may find it difficult to build healthy relationships and resort to manipulative or exploitative actions. Although narcissistic behavior can be taught in infancy, other factors such as genetics, brain chemistry, and early life experiences may also influence how it develops.
Individuals can address underlying issues, develop empathy and healthier relationships, and better understand and control their behaviors by seeking expert assistance. Remember that healthy relationships are based on trust, empathy, and respect and that asking for help can result in positive changes for the person seeking it and the people around them.
