Mud, Sand and Tall Pines: OED Series Finals After Action Report

Tall pines, long sloping hills and plenty of sand to fill jam your equipment. Here is an in-depth course and stage review for the 2022 Old Eighteen Defense Dead Cat run and gun.

This was a 7 mile course with 7 stages that included almost 2000 feet of elevation change and targets up to 500 yards away.

Run and gun is a 2 gun, centerfire biathlon - like the winter sport, except no skis and proper firearms. All stages have a maximum of 3 minutes to complete. The course is a one way loop - competitors must bring everything with them; there is no going back to your vehicle for supplies.
