Octopath Traveler 2 (PC) - Part 33: Industrial Revolution (Partitio Chapter 2)

We made it to the city of Clockbank as we hunted down the Thief's guild and shrine, so let's take care of our next piece of story-related business in town as we continue Partitio's story. After buying back the land in Oresrush and plunging the town into poverty, Roque ran off to the city of Clockbank where the city now runs on steam power and all who benefit from it are taxed heavily as Partitio witnesses when Roque's tax collector Thurston threatens to break a kid's knees.

On his quest to end poverty in the world, Partitio tries to share steam technology with the world, but the Roque Company has no intentions of giving up their monopoly. Instead of fighting you himself, Thurston sends his pet dog Garnet to fight you off as the boss fight of this chapter. After putting down the dog, Roque himself comes to Partitio with a business proposal: he'll sell Partitio the rights to the steam engine for the steep price of $80,000,000,000. Determined to share the technology with the world, Partitio now seeks out the richest man on the western continent for help...
