Before Sofia would star in and become a commercial success on ABC’s Modern Family.
Before Sofia would win a screen actor’s guild award.
BEFORE youtube would become filled with video clips of watching Sofia’s work in slow motion.

Sofia had a catholic upbringing in Colombia in which her father was a farmer and her mother a homemaker. Also these sound like humble beginning her family were extremely successful, so much so that when she found fame in America her families lives back at home were at risk. A failed kidnapping attempt on her brother resulted in his death. She overcame other adversities battling Thyroid cancer. Her family would eventually leave Columbia joining her in Miami where there she would work steadily to the top of Hollywood.
