Traces Of War 3rd Reich and Allie bombing in Medieval town of Soest April 7th 2023

In the Medieval Town of Soest Germany today. Occupied since Roman times, year 836 first documented. On December 5th 1944 the Allies dropped over 1800 tons of Explosives and fire bombs from 500 combat planes in 30 minutes onto this beautiful city. 220 deaths and 1000 homes destroyed. Then again on the 28th of February and in March 1945 which destroyed the Petrikirche/Petri Church. Church in pictures.
