Final Fantasy 4 Ultima (SNES ROM Hack) - Part 35: Superboss Melusine

After vanquishing both of the Underworld Superbosses, it's now time to start taking down the superbosses on the Overworld! Our first overworld target is located in the destroyed observation deck of Damcyan Castle, unlocked after killing Goddess.

Melusine is a puzzle boss that only black magicians (i.e. Rydia and Palom) can damage. In quick intervals, Melusine will undergo a barrier change immediately followed by casting either a Fire, Ice, Lightning, or Storm spell on you. Your black magician must cast that spell back at her before her next barrier change to damage her. It may help to have Rosa slow her down a couple times to make sure Rydia gets her spell off in time. It's easy once you figure it out but it still takes a long time. I know it would be faster if I had Palom in my party as well, but I want to challenge myself by killing all of the Superbosses with the normal FF4 endgame party.
