BEFORE he would become one of the most in demand and bankable film stars in the world.
BEFORE Leonardo DiCaprio would make women’s hearts beat a little faster the world over in films like Titanic and Romeo and Juliet.
BEFORE he would be nominated for five Oscars but would miss out on the win each and every time.
BEFORE he became one of Hollywood’s most active enviromentalists and put much effort into non-profit foundtations for environmental causes.
BEFORE he would date the world’s most beautiful woman and turn his bedroom hallway into the most walked runway for models.

Leonardo DiCaprio came from very humble beginnings and managed to make a name for himself in his early teens with his boyish good looks, tremendous talent and dedication to his craft. Diagnosed with OCD as a child and growing up with very little he found an outlet in performance, encouraged by his parents he began booking work in commercials and television. But he was fired from an early gig on the Romper Room cause he was to deemed too disruptive. He pulled it together working his way up through shows like Rosanne & Growing Pains before getting into film. He began hanging with other young actors including Kevin Connolly and Tobey McGuire and the group they formed were known as the Pussy Posse, and although a hit with the ladies, Leonardo wasn’t popular with bartenders as he was notoriously cheap.

Leonardo Wilhelm DiCaprio was born on November 11, 1974 in Hollywood California. The only child of Irmelin and George DiCaprio. His parents divorced when he was still a toddler but Leo stayed close to both his parents. He was raised mainly by his mother, a legal secretary who born in Germany. His father, a comic book artist and distributor is half Italian and half German.

Do to this heritage young Leo learned to speak German at a young age. His unusual name came from his mother first feeling her only child kick while she was starring at a Da Vinci painting in a Florence, Italy museum and his father took this as a cosmic sign.
