I know the expression is "tragedy strikes," but this time, on the streets of Vancouver, it stabbed. Literally. A man was stabbed to death, in broad daylight, outside Starbucks, in front of his little girl, and a crowd of bystanders.

Bystanders who did nothing, except the TikTok asshole, who kept filming for his dreams of a viral video.

The news turned to a Wilfred Laurier professor to explain this through the lens of the breaking down of social cohesion in Canada. Everything he said was true, yet he missed probably the single most important point.

He failed to comment on one of the two untouchable topics of Canadian politics, immigration policy.
