20230409-Is Canada Actually Going to Start Making Stuff? Sand Mining in Manitoba

One of my brothers is a high level hydrogeologist, and recently he was out in Moositoba presenting expert advice to the farmers out there.

There is high quality silica under their fields, the province wants to mine it and they brought in experts to calm the fears of the farmers, that their lands will be ruined.

The great thing is that this is high quality silica, useful in the semiconductor industry, and the province has set its sites a lot higher than just pulling it out for someone else to process, and print into computer chips.

If we're not careful, this country may actually start making stuff again.
