Kanye West droped out of an arts University after his first year, he worked for Jay Z and helped produce the The Blueprint and was involved in a near fatal car accident, he had to get his jaw wired shut while he was recording his debut album.

Kanye Omari West was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on June 8, 1977. His parents divorced when he was three. He was raised on Chicago's South Side by his mother.
