As Leon and Ashley breached the castle gate with a mighty cannon, Salazar himself greeted them, his twisted features betraying his malevolence. The lord of the castle sent his minions after them, but the two companions proved more than a match for their foes.

Venturing deeper into the castle, they found a wall broken and breached, and Leon, in a moment of misfortune, tumbled into a dungeon below. A giant, blind creature lurked within, but Leon, with his courage and wits, bested the monster and emerged victorious.

Reunited with Ashley, the two solved a sword puzzle, their minds sharpened by the urgency of their mission. In time, they came upon a room with four fountains, and Ashley used her skills to raise platforms while Leon, with sword in hand, fended off the vile creatures that assailed them.

But the horrors of the castle were not yet done with them. In the courtyard, Ashley fell under the sway of the Las Plagas parasite, her mind no longer her own. With a cunning and ferocity born of desperation, she stole Leon's knife and fled deeper into the castle.

Leon knew he had no choice but to press on, to brave the dangers of the castle once more and find his lost companion. But the castle was a place of malevolence and treachery, and it seemed that every step he took brought him closer to death.
