SAN ANGELO, TX — One of the best acts at the Buffalo social club at the 91st San Angelo Rodeo was Mexican Born Country Star, George Navarro.
Navarro was born in Chihuahua, Mexico. Despite being surrounded by Norteño, he was determined to make it as a country music star.
One of his biggest influences was George’s father. As a child, Navarro’s dad would show him bands like the band America, the Eagles, Willie Nelson, and Alan Jackson.
Before his big show on Saturday night, Navarro told San Angelo LIVE! in an interview how those routes in Chihuahua would lead him to his first American Rodeo Performance in San Angelo.
This human interest piece is presented by Angelo MRI.
