Basic early 3D soccer sim. Not bad. Has a lot of flaws but enjoyable once you know how to score.
The goalie is very good and it’s very difficult to score. I only found one good way of beating him. You can curl the ball very effectively, so I had had to find an exact position to shoot from and then curl the ball to trick the keeper. It seems more like glitch than trick. It wasn’t even a high percentage that it would be a goal, it was just the only way I could get the ball in the back of the net.

Due to the amount of missed shots, a lot of the game is goal kicks. This gives you an immediate disadvantage since your players don’t automatically home in to intercept the ball. The computer gets the ball most of the time. It’s a very unfair system. Even if you head the ball it will most likely go out or to the opponent.
There are some crazily specific button controls, like one button for overhead kick and one button for backheel. Obviously, these were forgotten about in my run since they are so situational and you are never in the right position to be underneath the ball due to the players not homing in.
The matches are quite difficult and I couldn’t defeat Wales (my real home country) for a long time as I didn’t work out my goal trick by then. I had to scrape through the later levels too. Luckily you can save after each match and reload if you fail.
Most matches required multiple playthroughs as even if I got a goal, they would retaliate instantly due to the next major flaw. When they have kick off, you can’t get the ball off them and they have a high chance of scoring. So every time it is second half or you score a goal, they will likely score. The advantage doesn’t go the other way either because I could not once do a kick off without them taking the ball off my almost instantly.
The last match against Brazil was so hard that I couldn’t score a legitimate goal. The computer had to score an own goal and I had to just stop them from scoring while I had the advantage.
