Dale Jr. Gets Blunt After Bristol and Calls Out 'Massive Mistake' With Next Gen Car

Dale Earnhardt Jr. loves the Bristol night race. He's been a huge proponent of the half-mile track for years. However, last weekend's race in the Next Gen car was noticeably different and not in a good way. Junior admitted as much this week on his podcast.

The Hall of Famer broke down the race, and identified what he views as the problem for Bristol and all short tracks this year with the new car — tires. He then went into a detailed explanation of why the tires don't work with the car and bluntly called out those responsible for the "massive mistake" (not NASCAR) and surprisingly revealed that he knew it was destined to fail at the very beginning of the design process.
