The Kiewit Luminarium, Riverfront Science Center, set to open to the public Saturday
The highly anticipated wait for the Omaha Riverfront’s newest attraction comes to an end this weekend. As the Kiewit Luminarium, a next-generation science center, opens its doors to the public this Saturday, April 15. With well over 100 interactive exhibits, the Luminarium is sure to provide everyone of all ages the opportunity to get out, learn, play and explore. “From a curious seven-year-old to a 75-year-old with a Nobel laureate in physics, there are open-ended experiences framing up real natural phenomena, and very importantly, putting the learner at the center,” CEO Silva Raker said. Raker says the goal is to give everyone in the community a sense of confidence as a learner, to heighten curiosity, and notice things in the world differently.
