Is This A Zombie Bird In My Back Yard?

We took the dog out when Teph noticed this little bird on our blackberry bush. He had been sitting there the whole time apparently, as we did not see or hear him land. No matter how close we got he just sat there. Even stranger, he kept his neck at the same angle the whole time and only moved his eyes.
