Chatfield at Montrose FULL GAME 10.09.2020 | high school football

The 2020 Season Opener in Montrose between the Chatfield Sr High School Chargers, who were coming off a 9-3 season and the Montrose High School Indians, who were coming off a 10-2 season.

The Chargers were led by Sr All-Conference CB Daniel Kobilan (#13) with 3 forced fumbles, 9 tackles, and fumble recovery on an XP and Jr RB Jake Marschall, (#21) who had 88 yards and 2 touchdowns on the ground. Sr All-Conference Honorable Mention S David Wiley (#3) recovered a fumble by the goal line and added 6 tackles. Sr All-Conference S Aiden Kempen (#17) led with 13 tackles and So LB Cade Thomas (#45) contributed 11. The offensive and defensive lines struggled, leading to a 43-12 loss.

Montrose didn't post stats, but RBs Jr Tayne Ila (#40) and Sr Trent Blundell (#20) ran for 2 touchdowns a piece. Jr LB Bode Greiner dominated defensively for the Indians.

Sr QB Keagan Goodwin (#9) and Sr RB Eli Evans added a TD each.
