There is a cool parallel between 1 Peter 3:15, "in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy," and Romans 10:9-10, "confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead...for with the heart one believes and is justified." Both of these passages imply the need for the ascent of the heart in recognition of Jesus' divine nature. Also I give some applications of faith in Jesus Lordship. He is our existential Rock and through him we overcome fear.
