One of the most well-known astrology situations is “Mercury Retrograde.” A lot of misunderstanding goes along with this idea. When a planet turns retrograde, it doesn’t actually go backward, but rather appears to go backward because the revolutionary motion of the Earth temporarily takes over that planet. From our point of view, it appears to go backward.

When I first thought about becoming an astrologer, I was told not to assume that I knew what the signs were but rather to let each sign show me what they were as I encountered them. Similarly, with moments like Mercury Retrograde, I don’t want to give a backwards idea all the power. Don’t retrograde yourself by giving away all your power.
