Strike Industries: Universal Optics Mount

While more and more pistols come with a provision for optics from the factory, there are a lot of handguns floating around out there without cut slides. And if you are thinking about trying out a red dot on a pistol, it can be an expensive endeavor. Enter the Universal Optics Mount by Strike Industries.

The Universal Optics Mount, in this case the GUM (Glock Universal Mount), allows you to simply replace the rear sight on your pistol with a universal mount plate. The plate can be used to accommodate all of your major pistol red dot footprints. From Trijicon, to Doctor, to Vortex, to include this MRD V2 by Atibal.

While it absolutely sits higher than a milled pistol slide, it can at least let you dabble into a pistol mounted optic before you have to invest a significant amount of money permanently modifying a pistol.
