During 2019 & 2020 there were 34,000 gun related homicides, 94,000 committed suicide, and 161,000 died from drug overdose.
What does our government focus on? More often than not, gun control.
Three times as many people took their own life and five times as many people overdosed.
Logic would dictate focus on the biggest killer first, then the second biggest killer, and so on.
These numbers are proof that the government only cares about you and I when there is a partisan political battle to be fought.
Why focus on mental health, stability, and illegal drugs when guns grab the biggest headlines?
For that matter, why are guns the biggest headlines when five times as many people die from overdose and fentanyl poisoning?
The media and our government are both more interested in sensational headlines than actually fixing any problem.
