India will surpass China in population as early as this month

The United Nations states that India’s population will surpass China’s at some point this year. There are many demographers saying it will happen this month. The population of India is expected to peak in 2063 at 1.7 billion, but I believe it will peak within a decade as India modernizes and it gets more expensive to raise children.
A rising population in India will fuel its economy. India will consume more of the world’s goods and have a bigger role in international affairs. In contrast, an aging population and low birth rates will hinder China despite its increasing wealth and military might. China’s fertility rate was just 1.18 in 2022. Western companies are being encourage by governments and shareholders to diversify production out of China.
India has over 600 million people that are under the age of 25. We are seeing a lot of manufacturing companies moving into India like Foxconn.
