SHORT: Motorcycle Crash on IH-10 in Houston

While commuting to work in my truck a few days ago, I ended up behind this severe motorcycle accident in the IH-10 Eastbound Katy managed toll lanes.

Morning rush hour traffic was stop-and-go, averaging between 15-35 mph. The motorcyclist was splitting lanes through dense traffic and passing on the shoulder at 75+ mph. Those overtake speeds don't allow anyone sufficient time to react properly. This rider passed me on the picket-divided shoulder between the toll and main lanes only about 5 minutes before this incident. Ouch! 🤦‍♂️

I hope he fully recovers and learns to ride safer in the future. 🙏 --QM
