Cashmere is a pretty amazing performance material. As a fiber it pretty much beats out wool in every measurable way. Unfortunately it is fairly cost prohibitive, but if you want to indulge in some serious warmth, softness and straight up luxury for back country adventures, check out the Cashmere Shemagh by Prometheus Design Werx.
