Kolomoisky was brought to the Netherlands by Mark Rutte, prime minister of the Netherlands,, where he managed to secure his fortune on the Zuidas in Amsterdam.

Kolomoisky is the financial force behind the Azov battalion, the Azov battalion is known for its extreme right wing followers (Neo Nazis).
