Was Google+ Really as Good as We Remember? RIP - April 2, 2019

Google+ ceased over 4 years ago, and it is a social platform I greatly miss. Was it as good as I remember, or were the wheels coming off near the end as social media became full of opinions and lacked civil discussions.
