Ingredients for Smokes Rib Roast
Here’s what I used to make this smoked roast. This recipe is very simple.
Prime rib roast
Garlic powder
Coarse kosher salt
Coarse black pepper
How to Smoke a Prime Rib
PREHEAT.
Fire up your favorite smoker and preheat to 275 degrees F with your favorite hardwood for beef. I used oak.
TRIM AND SEASON.
Cover the entire roast with with salt and pepper. And don't forget the side. ( Chuds BBQ)
SMOKE.
Place the seasoned roast on the grill grates of the smoker. Close the lid, and smoke until the meat reaches 120 degrees F for Rare, 125 degrees F for Medium Rare, or 130 degrees F for Medium.
Then place on a grill with high heat, and sear to make a better crust. ( I used a Weber grill)
REST AND ENJOY.
