For the second day in Sudan, fierce fighting between the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and government forces has continued. The armed forces have announced the capture of an airbase in the city of Merowe - a key logistics hub for RSF in transporting gold and weapons. The fighting for control of the base has been ongoing since the beginning of the conflict.

The army has also taken control of the city of Kadugli and the Republican Palace in Khartoum. Under pressure from the military, RSF fighters are suffering heavy losses.

In the battles against the rebels, government forces are actively using heavy equipment, aviation, and paratroopers. Due to this advantage, the armed forces are gradually gaining the initiative over the RSF.
