1. The Empty Tomb (Matthew 28:1-10)
• A time of new birth
• The resurrection of Christ is central to our faith. Without it, we have no basis for faith or hope.
(1 Cor. 15:17-20)
2. A New Life
• But it happened! “Born again to a new hope.”
(1 Peter 1:3)
• God’s wrath towards sin was poured out on Jesus for all those who accept Him. “Tetelestai”
• Our sinful past died with Jesus, and when He rose, we too rise from our spiritual death to a new birth. (Romans 6:8-11)
3. An Abundant Life. (John 10:10)
• We are made new to walk with Him.
• An abundant life, but not in riches and materials.
• There is no burial plot to visit because Jesus’ tomb was emptied. He is the Living Hope.
• He is the undefeated champion, he fought the king of death and prevailed for us.
• He gives hope, joy, peace, and love to those who open the door when He is knocking and follow Him.
