For thousands of years the people of Jesus have been persecuted by governments because of our King; by pagans because of our God; by Jews because of our Messiah; and by the church because of God's Law.

This is it. The place where truth resides, and God's Word speaks. Bruce S. It's popular nowadays to try and help people connect with God and with each other in the body of Christ. Many books promise delivery of methods or keys for touching Jesus and making Him more real in a believer's life. Lots of self-help books say that if you'll just follow their simple steps you'll see more fruit of the Spirit or improve the quality of your walk with Jesus. Some of them recognize that the world is going to pieces and that there is a need for repentance, a word that means "return," but authors are a little vague about where exactly we should return. Parts of the Bible are used in some of the books. Some of the advice works some of the time. A little of it works more often. Too much of it depends on sentiment. None of it, however, is as complete or effective as God's whole and complete Word.

God has the best method and a number of keys to connect with Him and each other already laid out for us in His Word. He's got everything: love, life, light, forgiveness, blessing, love, truth, fruit of the Spirit, love and righteousness, all in concrete easy-to-follow steps connecting us and Him together. Did I mention love? Because love is what God is all about. Every word He speaks is packed full and overflowing with love.

When we only use part of His Word, we only get part of His love. The measure we use with Him is the measure He uses when giving abundant life.

It's not a Jewish thing. It's not a Christian thing. It's a God thing.
