In these segments, Kelly and Greenwald discuss "Obstruction of an Official Proceeding" [18 USC § 1512(c)(2)], the felony charge being weaponized by DOJ against Jan 6th defendants. The statute was originally passed as part of The Sarbanes–Oxley Act (SOX) in 2002. This was intended as Wall St. reforms in the wake of the Enron & WorldCom accounting scandals, and has no application in the way it is being used in these prosecutions.
