Politifact is telling you a bedtime story. Once upon a time we were ruled by honest politicians who shared with the people how much they earned for their ‘public service’ and how much they paid in taxes…paying their fair share as wonderful examples of civic engagement.

Kinda made me throw up in my mouth a little bit just writing that out.
